It's not every day one has the opportunity to experience sitting in the mighty General Assembly Hall of the United Nations. Most never catch a glimpse inside the renowned chamber. UNIS students, however, have made a bit of a habit out of it.
For the past four decades, juniors and seniors have spent months each year meticulously planning a colossal conference reflecting on the most pressing issues of the day. Inviting peers from schools around the world, students gather at the UN for two days to listen to top speakers, as well as debate the selected conference theme amongst each other. It's a moment not easily forgotten, as alumni fondly recall with both nostalgia and awe the connections and accomplishments made throughout the process.
